POEM: The Pigs’ Father by L.J. Block

You built your house out of straw?

You moronic fucking asshole.
How could you do that?

What were you thinking?

Why are you screaming at me?
I’m not screaming, I’m grunting.

Well, if you’re finished, I’ll explain:
First of all, it wasn’t simply straw I used,
It was Straw-Tec from Home Depot,
A hundred times stronger than straw
Or your money back.

I left him there in the rubble of his
Blown down home, banging out gangsta rap
On his lap-top with his cloven hoof.

Tomorrow I’ll visit his brothers.
